Anay is a PhD candidate in the Ecology & Evolution program at the University of Houston. She got her BS from California State University San Marcos in Biological Sciences. She has worked in the lab of John Eme at CSUSM doing comparative physiology in fishes and alligators. Her project in the Daane lab explores fish adaptations to deep sea environments.
